Bulk upload photos from iPhone to WordPress media library. Generate a QR code to connect the SnapPress iOS app to your site in seconds.

== Description ==

**SnapPress Connect** is the official companion plugin for [SnapPress](https://snappress.app) — the iOS app that lets you **bulk upload photos from your iPhone directly to WordPress**. This plugin generates a secure QR code so you can pair your WordPress site with the SnapPress app in seconds, no typing required.

Perfect for bloggers, photographers, and content creators who take photos on their iPhone and publish to WordPress.

**Why SnapPress?**

* **Bulk upload** — Send 10, 50, or 100+ photos in a single tap (vs. one-by-one via the WP admin)
* **Automatic HEIC → JPEG conversion** — iPhone's HEIC format is converted on-device so WordPress accepts them instantly. [Learn more about HEIC compatibility →](https://snappress.app/blog/heic-photos-wordpress-iphone/)
* **Metadata preserved** — EXIF (date, GPS, camera) is kept intact
* **Share Extension** — Upload straight from Photos, Safari, or any app via the iOS share sheet
* **9 languages** — English, 日本語, Español, Deutsch, Português, Français, 한국어, Italiano, 繁體中文

**Features of this plugin:**

* **One-tap setup** — Automatically creates a WordPress Application Password and generates a QR code
* **Manual mode** — Use an existing Application Password to generate a QR code
* **Secure** — Credential data is only shown on-screen temporarily and can be cleared instantly
* **QR codes stay local** — they are generated entirely in your browser and never sent anywhere

**How it works:**

1. Install and activate the plugin
2. Go to **Tools → SnapPress Connect**
3. Click "Generate QR Code with One Tap"
4. Scan the QR code with the [SnapPress iOS app](https://apps.apple.com/app/snappress/id6759512374)
5. Done! Start bulk uploading photos from your iPhone to WordPress

* WordPress 5.6 or later (Application Passwords support)
* PHP 7.4 or later
* HTTPS enabled on your site (required for Application Passwords)
* [SnapPress app](https://apps.apple.com/app/snappress/id6759512374) on your iPhone (iOS 15.0+)

**Privacy:**

This plugin sends nothing in the background. QR codes are generated entirely in your browser and never leave it.

The settings screen offers one optional form: if you cannot connect, you can send us your email address, your site URL, your description of the problem, and the diagnostic details shown on screen. It is sent only when you press the button, and the screen shows you the exact text before you send it. We use it only to reply to you.

Read our [Privacy Policy](https://snappress.app/privacy/) for details on how SnapPress handles your data.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= What is SnapPress? =

SnapPress is an iOS app that lets you **bulk upload photos from your iPhone directly to the WordPress media library**. Instead of uploading photos one at a time via the WP admin, you can send dozens of photos with a single tap. [Learn more about SnapPress](https://snappress.app/).

= Is SnapPress free? =

The WordPress plugin (SnapPress Connect) is 100% free. The SnapPress iOS app is free to download with a free tier (up to 10 photos/month). Optional paid plans unlock unlimited uploads. See [pricing details](https://snappress.app/#pricing).

= Do I need HTTPS? =

Yes. WordPress Application Passwords require HTTPS to be enabled on your site. Most modern hosts provide free SSL via Let's Encrypt.

= Is the QR code safe? =

The QR code contains your site URL, username, and an Application Password. It is generated entirely in your browser and is never sent to any external server. Click "Clear" after scanning to remove the code from the screen.

= Can I revoke access? =

Yes. Go to **Users → Profile → Application Passwords** and delete the "SnapPress" entry to revoke access at any time.

= Does SnapPress support HEIC photos from iPhone? =

Yes. SnapPress automatically converts HEIC (iPhone's default format) to JPEG before uploading so WordPress accepts them without issues. [Read the HEIC compatibility guide](https://snappress.app/blog/heic-photos-wordpress-iphone/).

= How many photos can I upload at once? =

There is no hard limit in the app — users regularly upload 50–100 photos in a single batch. Upload speed depends on your WordPress server and internet connection. [See the bulk upload guide](https://snappress.app/blog/bulk-upload-images-wordpress-phone/).

= Can I use it without Jetpack? =

Yes. SnapPress does not require Jetpack. It uses the standard WordPress REST API with Application Passwords. [See the Jetpack-free workflow](https://snappress.app/blog/upload-photos-wordpress-without-jetpack/).

= Does it work with Elementor, Divi, or other page builders? =

Yes. SnapPress uploads to the standard WordPress media library, so uploaded photos are available in any theme, page builder, or block editor.
