Import real estate offers from an Otodom XML file to WordPress - custom post types, import panel, validation, and front-end views.

== Description ==

**Real Estate Offers Importer for Otodom** is a plugin for real estate agencies and WordPress site owners that imports offers from an XML file in the Otodom format.

### What do you get by installing the plugin?

* Import offers from an XML file (manual upload or path in `wp-content/uploads`)
* Custom post type **Otodom** with an archive and single offer view on the website
* Batch import with a progress bar in the admin panel
* **Dry run (validation)** — check the XML without creating posts
* Update and delete offers based on the `ID` and `Action` fields in the XML
* Import images from the `Photos` section (local files or URLs)

### Who is it for?

The plugin is designed for WordPress administrators who want to publish real estate offers on a company website, without manually rewriting data from CRM / Otodom exports.

### How does it work?

1. Prepare an XML file compatible with the Otodom specification (root tag `otoDom`, list of offers in `Insertions`).
2. Go to **Otodom → Import XML** in the WordPress dashboard.
3. Optionally run the validation (dry run).
4. Start the import and check the offers in the dashboard and on the website (archive at `/otodom/`).

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `real-estate-offers-importer-for-otodom` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory (or install the ZIP package via **Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin**).
2. Activate the plugin in the **Plugins** menu.
3. Go to **Otodom → Import XML**.
4. Upload the XML file from your computer or provide the path in the `wp-content/uploads` field (e.g., `2026/03/export.xml`).
5. Click **Run Import** and wait for the process to complete.
6. After the first activation, it is recommended to save permalinks: **Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes**.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does the plugin require some API? =

No. The version 1.0.0 creates a custom post type (CPT) based on XML-file and does not require any API connection for the import to function.

= Where can I get the XML file? =

From a CRM system export, real estate office software, or according to the Otodom Import format documentation.

= Does the dry run create posts? =

No. Validation only checks the file structure and required fields.

= What if I import the same file again? =

Offers with the same `ID` in the XML will be updated instead of duplicated.

= Where are the offers located on the website? =

By default, at the archive address `/otodom/` (requires permalinks to be enabled).
