Nexconform Consent Manager is a cookie consent management solution. It displays a customizable consent banner on the front end of your site and records the choices visitors make, so you have proof of consent for audits.

The plugin is designed to help site owners meet the requirements of:

* The ePrivacy Directive (cookies and similar technologies)
* The Canadian privacy law commonly referred to as Law 25, which applies in the province of Quebec

= How it works =

1. Create an account on nexconform.ca
2. Configure your banner from the dashboard
3. Copy your Org ID
4. Paste it into Settings then Nexconform Consent Manager
5. The banner appears on your site.

= External services =

This plugin loads a JavaScript file from the Nexconform content delivery network at https://cdn.nexconform.ca/v1.js on the front end of your site. The script displays the consent banner and records the visitor's choice, using the Org ID you provide in the settings.

The script is loaded on every page where the banner is enabled. When a visitor interacts with the banner, the consent choice is sent to the Nexconform service to provide audit evidence required by GDPR and similar privacy laws.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
3. Go to Settings then Nexconform Consent Manager.
4. Enter your Org ID and click Save.

Log in at nexconform.ca, open the Dashboard, and copy the Org ID shown at the top of the page.
