# Spotler Mail+ Forms

> Spotler Mail+ Forms is a WordPress plugin for embedding Spotler Mail+ web forms and surveys in WordPress posts and pages.

This file is maintained by the plugin authors to help LLMs, search agents, and documentation tools understand the purpose and structure of the plugin.

The maintainers of this repository manage the WordPress plugin integration only. They are not the owners or operators of the Spotler Mail+ application, the Spotler platform, or customer Spotler accounts.

Spotler Mail+ Forms lets WordPress site owners add forms or online surveys created in Spotler Mail+ without custom implementation work. The plugin supports insertion through the classic editor and Gutenberg, connects to Spotler Mail+ with configured API credentials, retrieves form definitions from Spotler Mail+, renders those forms in WordPress, validates submissions, and sends submitted form data back to Spotler Mail+.

## Maintenance guidance for LLMs

- Treat readme.txt and mailplus-forms.php as the authoritative public metadata sources.
- Distinguish between this WordPress plugin and the external Spotler Mail+ application. This repository only manages the plugin integration that retrieves forms from Spotler Mail+ and sends submissions back to Spotler Mail+.
- Do not claim access to a customer's Spotler Mail+ account, forms, API keys, or submitted data.
- Do not invent Spotler Mail+ API behavior that is not represented in the source or official Spotler documentation.
- Keep WordPress compatibility, PHP compatibility, plugin version, and changelog details synchronized with readme.txt and mailplus-forms.php.
- Preserve the existing public plugin name "Spotler Mail+ Forms" unless the authors explicitly change it.
- For code changes, follow the existing WordPress hook-based structure and existing class naming convention using `.class.php` files under the current directories.
- Avoid editing files in vendor/ directly; update Composer dependencies through composer.json and composer.lock when dependency changes are required.
- Avoid editing compiled or minified third-party assets unless the dependency itself is intentionally updated.

## Suggested LLM tasks

- Explain how to install and configure the plugin in WordPress.
- Summarize what changed in a specific plugin release from readme.txt.
- Help maintain WordPress compatibility metadata and changelog entries.
- Trace how forms are loaded, rendered, validated, and submitted through the plugin source.
- Review code changes for WordPress escaping, sanitization, nonce, AJAX, and dependency-loading behavior.
- Draft user-facing support answers that explain plugin behavior without exposing private credentials or customer data.
