1. Introduction

Health & Fitness Calculators Suite is a powerful, elegant, and highly responsive WordPress plugin that allows you to embed professional health calculators on your website. It provides two distinct calculators:

• BMI (Body Mass Index) Calculator: Helps users determine if they are at a healthy weight for their height.
• BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) & TDEE Calculator: Estimates the daily calorie needs based on a user's physical characteristics, gender, and activity level.

The plugin is designed to be fully customizable, allowing you to tweak colors, default values, accordions for extra information, calculation formulas, and social sharing options.

2. Installation

1. Upload the levelnetwork-health-fitness-calculators folder to your WordPress plugins directory (/wp-content/plugins/).
2. Go to the Plugins menu in your WordPress dashboard.
3. Find Health & Fitness Calculators Suite and click Activate.
4. A new menu item named H&F Calculators settings will appear in your admin dashboard.

3. Usage (Shortcodes, Blocks & Elementor)

There are three main ways to display the calculators on your site:

3.1 Shortcodes

The plugin uses standard shortcodes to display the calculators anywhere on your site (pages, posts, or widgets).

Simply paste these shortcodes into the WordPress editor where you want the calculators to appear.

3.2 Gutenberg Blocks

If you are using the default WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg), click the "+" button to add a new block, and search for "LevelNetwork". You will see dedicated blocks for the BMI and BMR calculators.

3.3 Elementor Widgets

If you are using the Elementor Page Builder, you can search "Health & Fitness Calculators Suite" in your Elementor widgets panel. You can easily drag and drop the BMI and BMR widgets directly into your page layout!

4. General Settings

Navigate to H&F Calculators settings > General Settings to configure global options.

5. BMI Calculator Features

Navigate to the BMI Calculator tab in settings.

• Range Settings: Define the minimum, maximum, and default values for height and weight sliders.
• Visual Legend: Toggle the display of a color-coded legend explaining BMI categories (Underweight, Normal, Overweight, Obese classes).
• Information Accordions: Create unlimited FAQ-style accordions that appear below the calculator. Perfect for explaining what BMI is, its limitations, or providing health tips.

6. BMR & TDEE Calculator Features

Navigate to the BMR Calculator tab in settings.

• Calculation Formula: Choose the scientific formula used for BMR calculations:
  • Mifflin-St Jeor (Recommended, most accurate modern standard)
  • Harris-Benedict (Original formulation)
  • Revised Harris-Benedict (Roza and Shizgal standard)
• Activity Levels (PAL): Edit the descriptions and multipliers for different Physical Activity Levels (Sedentary, Lightly Active, etc.).
• Range Settings: Set min/max/default values for age, weight, and height.
• Information Accordions: Add customizable accordions to explain BMR, TDEE, or calorie deficits.

7. Customization & Styling

The plugin includes a built-in styling engine to perfectly match your theme. Go to H&F Calculators settings > Style Settings.

You can customize almost every visual aspect without writing CSS:

• Colors: Primary accents, background colors, text colors, and result category colors (e.g., green for normal weight, red for obese).
• Sliders: Track colors, thumb colors, and active states.
• Typography: Adjust font sizes for section titles, labels, output results, and accordion text.
• Borders & Radius: Configure border colors and button/container border-radius for sharp or rounded looks.
