Shortcodes
Two shortcodes are available for use in posts, pages, widgets, or theme files:
[hmdfy_current_year] — Displays only the current year (e.g., "2026").
[hmdfy_copyright_footer] — Displays the full, formatted copyright notice, automatically detecting the language and text direction.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Is WooCommerce required for this plugin to work?
A: No. The plugin is standalone and works with any WordPress site. It is simply compatible with WooCommerce HPOS if you happen to have it installed.
Q: How does the plugin know whether to show the English or Arabic version?
A: It uses the built-in WordPress function is_rtl() to detect if the current language is a right-to-left language.
Q: How do I adjust the certificate position?
A: Change the value in Freelancing Certificate Position (px). The value controls the left inset in LTR and the right inset in RTL.
Q: The footer is not showing up on my theme. What can I do?
A: Some themes use non-standard hooks. If the footer doesn't appear automatically, you can use the [hmdfy_copyright_footer] shortcode in your theme's footer widget area or directly in the footer.php template file.
