== External Services ==

This plugin connects to the Flux Payments API to process payments and manage transactions.

**Service Provider:** Flux Payments
**API Endpoint:** https://api.fluxpayments.com
**Terms of Service:** https://portal.fluxpayments.com/MERCHANT_TERMS.html
**Privacy Policy:** https://payments.fluxpayments.com/PRIVACY_POLICY.html

**Data Transmitted:**
* Product information (name, price, SKU, description, images)
* Order details (product IDs and quantities)
* Customer information for payment processing (name, email, phone, billing address, entered into the Flux card form)
* Transaction status and payment confirmations

Card details are entered into Flux Payments' PCI-compliant embedded card form on your checkout page. The fields are served by Flux (from payments.fluxpayments.com) and the card number and security code go straight to Flux servers; they never pass through your WordPress site. Only the card brand and the last four digits are sent to your site, for the order record.

**What changes on your checkout:** while Flux is the selected payment method, WooCommerce's own billing and shipping address fields, the shipping step and the order-notes box are not shown (name, email, phone and billing address are collected in the Flux card form instead), and no shipping charge is added. While the plugin is active, WooCommerce coupons are disabled store-wide.

== Changelog ==

= 1.9.4 =
* Changed: your platform fee is now recorded by Flux as a platform fee. It appears as "Platform fee" on the customer's receipt and invoice from Flux, and it is included in the transaction fee shown for the order on the Flux portal. Nothing changes at the checkout: the same "Platform fee" line, the same card and cash prices, the same total charged.
* Changed: each paid order now carries a note saying how much the platform fee was and how Flux recorded it, so the order can be matched against the Flux portal.
* Note: if your Flux account has not yet been updated, the plugin keeps recording the fee the way it did before (as a service fee) until it has - the "What a $100 order looks like" row on the settings page says which.

= 1.9.3 =
* Changed: items on the cart and checkout now show their normal catalog price again (1.9.1 folded the fees into them, so a $22 ticket read $23.07). Your platform fee is shown as its own "Platform fee" line above the total, and it is recorded on the order as a fee line so it appears on the order screen and in order emails. The total is still labelled "Card price" with the "Cash price" beneath it; the total charged is unchanged.

= 1.9.1 =
* Changed: the checkout now shows the exact amount the card will be charged. When your Flux account passes the card processing fee on to the customer, the total is labelled "Card price", the fee is folded into the item prices (never shown as a separate line), and the cash price is shown beneath it. Once the card number identifies the card brand, the price adjusts down for brands with a lower fee; it never goes up.
* Changed: the "Service Fee Rate" setting is now "Platform Fee (%)". Enter your Flux platform fee as a share of the final amount (for example 9.1) and the plugin works out the service fee to send so that you receive the full item total after the platform fee, card processing and the authorization fee. The settings page shows the resulting prices for a $100 order.
* Changed: orders are recorded at the amount actually charged, and the order notes say if that ever differs from what the checkout showed.
* Changed: if the price cannot be confirmed with Flux, the checkout asks the customer to refresh instead of charging an amount it could not show.

= 1.9.0 =
* Removed: the "Redirect to Flux" checkout experience and its setting. Every store now uses the embedded card form on the WooCommerce checkout page (the "Hosted Fields" option). The redirect checkout had stopped working for new orders after the 1.8.7 update, and no store was using it.
* Changed: with Express Checkout on, the cart and mini-cart "Pay Now" buttons now take customers to the checkout page, where the card form is, instead of skipping it.
* Removed: the crypto wallet and asset settings, which only applied to the redirect checkout.
* Removed: the hourly pending-order reconciliation, which only applied to the redirect checkout.
* Changed: the Service Fee Rate setting now explains what it does.

= 1.8.8 =
* Changed: card details on the embedded checkout are now confirmed once, as soon as the form is complete, instead of being re-checked on every keystroke. Editing a detail afterwards no longer runs another card authorization; the card is simply re-checked when the order is placed.
* Fixed: the payment panel and Place Order button could flicker while you typed.
* Changed: refreshed the embedded checkout card form.

= 1.8.7 =
* Fixed: a payment link could be charged more than once if a customer used the browser back button and paid again within the 30-minute window. Each order now uses a single-use link that refuses a second charge.
* Fixed: bank transfer (ACH) and cryptocurrency orders were marked Failed as soon as the customer returned to your store, even though those payments take a few days to settle. They are now held as "On hold" and completed automatically once the payment clears.
* Fixed: in rare cases an order could be marked paid using a different order's successful payment on the same customer account. A returning payment is now matched to the exact order it belongs to before the order is completed.
* New: pending orders are reconciled automatically every hour. If a customer completes payment but closes the tab before returning, the order is still completed once Flux confirms the payment instead of staying unpaid.

= 1.8.6 =
* Fixed: the privacy policy link disappeared from the checkout again in 1.8.5. Hiding the stray "Edit" link has been reverted — the privacy notice takes priority and now displays correctly.

= 1.8.5 =
* Fixed: a stray, unstyled "Edit" link from the theme appeared under the pay button at checkout. Links in that area are hidden again, while the privacy policy link stays visible.

= 1.8.4 =
* Fixed: WooCommerce's own billing fields (email, name, address, phone) were still showing alongside Flux's card form, asking customers for the same details twice. An internal check was comparing against the wrong payment method name, so the duplicate fields were never removed.
* Changed: the "Flux Payments" heading and its radio button are hidden when Flux is your only payment method, since there is nothing to choose between. Stores offering several payment methods still see all the labels.

= 1.8.3 =
* Fixed: custom checkout fields were still being hidden by a second, forgotten copy of a style rule in the Pay Now stylesheet. Referral dropdowns, questionnaires and opt-in checkboxes now appear at checkout as intended.
* Fixed: that same rule hid every H3 heading on every page of your store. Headings on product pages, posts and widgets are visible again.
* Changed: the Pay Now stylesheet now loads only where it is needed instead of on every page.

= 1.8.2 =
* Fixed: the privacy policy link at checkout was being hidden, so the notice read "...described in our ." with no link. The full notice and its link now display.

= 1.8.1 =
* Changed: the Place Order button is no longer restyled by this plugin. Your theme's own button design is used, so the pay button matches the rest of your store instead of Flux's colours and font.

= 1.8.0 =
* New: "Express Checkout" setting (WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Flux Payments). It is OFF by default, so customers now use your normal WooCommerce checkout button and checkout page — meaning custom checkout fields, order notes and shipping selection are collected before payment.
* Turn Express Checkout ON to restore the previous behaviour: a "Pay Now" button on the cart and mini-cart that skips the checkout page for a faster path to payment. Note that anything you collect on the checkout page is not captured in that mode.
* Fixed: the checkout stylesheet no longer hides the customer details column, so custom fields added by other plugins are visible.
* Fixed: payment method labels are no longer hidden, so stores offering more than one payment method can tell them apart.

= 1.7.9 =
* Fixed: custom checkout fields added by other plugins (referral dropdowns, questionnaires, opt-ins) were being removed at checkout. Only WooCommerce's own default billing and shipping inputs are removed now — your custom fields stay.
* Fixed: the order summary table is shown again at checkout, so customers can see what they are buying before paying.
* Fixed: checkout customizations now apply only when Flux Payments is the selected payment method. Stores using another gateway alongside Flux keep their normal checkout for it.

== Upgrade Notice ==

= 1.9.4 =
Your platform fee is now recorded by Flux as a platform fee: it appears as "Platform fee" on the customer's receipt and invoice and is included in the transaction fee shown on the Flux portal. Nothing changes at the checkout. Install this over any earlier version.

Items show their catalog price again and the platform fee appears as its own "Platform fee" line at checkout and on the order. Install this over any earlier version; nothing else changes.

= 1.9.1 =
The checkout now shows the exact amount the card will be charged, with the card price and cash price side by side. = 1.9.0 =
The "Redirect to Flux" checkout is removed; every store now uses the embedded card form at checkout. If your store was set to Redirect, it switches to the embedded form automatically on update. With Express Checkout on, the Pay Now buttons now lead to the checkout page.
