Bundled emoji assets
====================

Two files ship with this plugin and they do NOT travel under the same terms. One is
ours to license; the other is somebody else's trademark, included under a policy
rather than a copyright grant. Those are different kinds of right, and collapsing
them would misstate both.

axismundi.webp — :axismundi:
------------------------------
Copyright (C) 2026 Jiwoon Kim
Licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later.

A 200x200 WebP derived from the Axismundi project brand symbol. The copyright holder
releases this bundled derivative under GPL-3.0-or-later so it may be distributed with
the plugin, including through the WordPress Plugin Directory.

This grant applies to axismundi.webp only. It does not relicense the other source
assets in the Axismundi brand directory:

wordpress.webp — :wordpress:
------------------------------
WordPress W Mark. Trademark of the WordPress Foundation.
NOT licensed under the GPL.

Included so that people writing here can refer to WordPress the software, which is the
use the Foundation's trademark policy permits without written permission:

"All other WordPress-related businesses or projects can use the WordPress name and
logo to refer to and explain their services, but they cannot use them as part of a
product, project, service, domain name, or company name."

It is not part of this plugin's name, branding, or identity, and no endorsement by the
WordPress Foundation or Automattic is claimed or implied. Mastodon and Misskey bundle
each other's marks as custom emoji for the same reason.

Derived from the official white W Mark, recoloured to the WordPress brand's own
#32373c and scaled to 200x200 on a transparent background.

Trademark permission is not a copyright licence. If the Plugin Directory review treats
this file as incompatible with its GPL requirement for bundled images, the correct
resolution is to drop it from the distributed package -- not to relabel it. Nothing
depends on it: an operator who wants :wordpress: can upload it from the official page
through Emojis > Local in three clicks.
